BUILD COMPARISON
Choose a saved build opens a tune JSON file from your device for comparison. It replaces the loaded build; your baseline stays unchanged.
Baseline: Factory baseline · Classic Mini 1275 · Standard. Capture a baseline before editing; it stays fixed while you tune.

LIMITATIONS & NEXT STEPS
The model realises 41% of cam airflow potential. Compare the carburettor / inlet package before increasing cam duration.
Unused modelled flow capacity at peak power; not a prediction of available power gain.
Evaluate the whole valve, port and cam package before spending on a larger casting.
Next step: capture this build, change one component in Setup, then compare the full torque curve and road estimates here.
INTENDED USE · HEURISTIC
Shorter duration generally favours idle quality and low-speed flexibility. This is not a guarantee for the assembled engine.
Selected cam: BMC · AEA630 / 12G165 · 998 Cooper / 1098. Predicted useful maximum: 5,700 rpm.
Screening rule: longest advertised duration below 260° = road; 260–279° = fast road; 280°+ = competition-biased. Checking conventions differ. This is not a manufacturer suitability rating or an idle simulation.
ASSEMBLY CHECKS
6,500 rpm selected; 6,500 rpm estimated mechanical limit. This estimate does not certify the parts.
Check valve position against the actual bore, gasket and block deck. Casting name alone cannot establish clearance.
Check through the overlap region with the actual cam timing, piston crown and head skim; 7.92 mm nominal maximum valve lift is not a clearance calculation.
Measure installed height, spring travel to coil bind, seat/open pressure and retainer-to-guide clearance. Spring category alone cannot prove suitability.
At 1.30:1 nominal ratio, verify contact sweep, pushrod clearance and actual valve lift.
Confirm flange pattern, throat alignment, linkage travel, bonnet clearance and fuel connections. Airflow compatibility is not a physical fit check.
DATA & ASSUMPTIONS
Standard power and torque are anchored to the existing app’s factory specification data. Modified curves use modelled changes relative to that baseline; they are not independent dyno measurements.
Timing 5/45 · 51/21; duration 230° / 252°; nominal valve lift 7.92 mm.
998 Cooper and 1098 A-series
Head-flow and porting factors are model inputs, not a flowbench certificate for your casting. Carb flow is an installed-system estimate, not a rated catalogue CFM.
Spring/rotating limits use component categories. Drag, losses, traction and shift times are assumptions. Source descriptions are retained from V1; V2 does not claim a new manufacturer verification.

DYNO VALIDATION
Import a two-column CSV with header rpm, bhp. Choose flywheel or wheel basis above to match your file. Use comparable atmospheric corrections and test conditions. No correction factor is applied.
